Introduction To My Spinal Cord Injury Blog

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

Hi, welcome to my homepage on spinal cord injury. I am not going to bore you with my success story, for I have none. I am another tetraplegic trying to cope with my disabilities and go on living life as fruitfully as I possibly can, and this is my story.

I broke my neck in 1984 and is paralysed from my chest downwards. My life has changed tremendously since. There is nothing worst than not being able to do the things that you have always taken granted for.

I have my Mother to thank for helping me pull through the darkest moments of my life. She is a pillar of strength and a symbol of perseverance. Mum passed away peacefully on July 11, 2003. I pray that she will find eternal tranquility where she has gone to. I love you Mum, forever.

Peter, my cousin, is a source of inspiration. He is one tireless workhorse who constantly ferries me to physiotherapy sessions, and everywhere. He played an active part in my rehabilitation and helping me get back on my feet, literally.

At the same time, let me share with you a poetry site dedicated to my cyberbuddy who constantly challenges me to reach for greater heights.

If you have a comment or wish to contact me, please send me an email at mail [at] petertan.com.

* I am assimilating the the entire Spinal Cord Injury site into a blog.
